"It seems to me the book has not just aesthetic values-- the charming little clothy box of the thing, the smell of the glue, even the print, which has its own beauty. But there's something about the sensation of ink on paper that is in some sense a thing, a phenomenon rather than an epiphenomenon. I can't break the association of electric trash with the computer screen. Words on the screen give the sense of being just another passing electronic wriggle."

—John Hoyer Updike (b. 1932) American writer, Rabbit, Run, Rabbit at Rest

We rely on your giving hearts to keep our library running.

Need a Tax Exemption?

Please remember the library when you or your business is looking for tax exemption. Your Center library runs off donations; the more monetary donations we receive, the more updated materials we will be able to provide for your Center library!

Need a gift for the person who has everything?

Purchase a book for the library in honor or memory of a person you wish to honor. The library will send a special holiday (or special occasion) card describing the gift. The books may be purchased for $10.00 or $20.00. You may select the kind of book you want purchased for the library or you may let the librarians select the book. This is a great way to solve your gift dilemma and help your local library!
